YEAR 6 TRIP TO WYCOMBE RYE

We are very pleased to inform you of our school trip to Wycombe Rye on Thursday 3rd April 2025. This day will include a chance for the children to carry out fieldwork sketches, as well as an opportunity to identify different historical and geographical features of the Rye to support their learning in Theme.

We are aiming to leave the school at 9.30am on the day so your child should arrive to school at the normal time.  The children are due to be back in school by lunchtime so end of the day procedures will take place as normal.

As all activities will take place outside, children should wear their school P.E. kit to school. Trainers should be worn, and, depending on the weather, children may wish to bring into school a pair of wellies or sturdy boots in a named carrier bag. Please also ensure your child has a suitable raincoat with them on the day.

If your child normally carries an EpiPen or an asthma inhaler, it is imperative that they have this with them on the day.

In order for this trip to go ahead, we will be asking for a voluntary contribution of £2.85. (£1.40 for those in receipt of Free School Meals or Pupil Premium).  No child will be prevented from taking part in the visit should the parents be unable to make a contribution towards the cost. Please make your payment via Arbor where possible.  Otherwise, payment can be sent into the school office in a clearly marked envelope.
