Governor Vacancies

🌟 Could You Help Shape the Future of Our School? 🌟

We are looking for TWO Parent Governors

Are you a parent or carer at Holmer Green Junior School who would like to make a real difference to our school community?

We currently have two vacancies for Parent Governors on our Governing Body, and we would love to hear from parents who are interested in getting involved.

What does a Parent Governor do?

Governors play an important role in supporting and challenging the school’s leadership team to ensure that every child receives the best possible education.

As a Parent Governor, you will:

  • 👥 Represent the views and experiences of parents and carers
  • 🎯 Help shape the school’s strategic direction and priorities
  • 📚 Support and challenge the school on pupil achievement and educational standards
  • 💚 Help ensure that pupil wellbeing, inclusion and safeguarding remain priorities
  • 💷 Contribute to oversight of the school’s finances and resources
  • 🏫 Gain a greater understanding of how our school operates and contributes to the wider community
  • 🤝 Work alongside other governors, the Headteacher and staff to help Holmer Green Junior School continue to thrive

Who are we looking for?

You do not need to have previous experience as a governor or have a background in education.

We are particularly keen to hear from parents who:

  • Care passionately about the education and wellbeing of our children
  • Are willing to listen, ask questions and contribute constructively
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Bring different skills, experiences and perspectives to the Governing Body
  • Can commit the time needed to attend meetings and engage with school life

Being a governor is an opportunity to learn new skills, develop your understanding of education and make a lasting contribution to our children's futures.

Two positions available

We have TWO Parent Governor vacancies, so if you have ever thought “I’d like to get more involved in the school”, this could be your opportunity.

Interested?

If you would like to find out more about becoming a Parent Governor, please contact Robin Cusdin, Headteacher, or the school office.

We would love to hear from you!

Could you be one of our next Parent Governors?

Your voice. Your experience. Our school. Our children's future.
